IMPORTANT!!!

ALL TA TEACHERS WILL BE SUPPORTING STUDENT SELF ASSESSMENT OF DESSA ON MONDAY DURING ELO!

This survey provides feedback to students about strengths and areas of growth for each student in the following areas:

~Self Awareness/optimistic thinking

~Self Management

~Relationship skills

~Personal responsibility

~Decision making

~Goal directed behaviors

How we introduce it is essential for students to fully commit to answering questions with fidelity. These are truly meaningful skill areas for our students to consider. Please help students to connect with the value of learning about these skill areas through their survey results!

Complete instructions will be sent to you with a supporting script by email. Student instructions will be emailed Monday prior to ELO.

On Monday morning members of the team will be available in the library from 7:45-8:15 to provide any support you might need. Please feel free to email Melody or Ellen with any questions.

It always seems like the school year is barely settled in when it's time to start planning for the next one.  And, here it is!  As we begin the early stages of building a master schedule for the 2023-24 school year, please take a few minutes to complete THIS SURVEY between now and when you leave for Thanksgiving break on Tuesday, 11/22.  A similar survey will go out to families and students.

ELO/Assembly Updates

Thank you to everyone who filled out the quick ELO check-in survey. Based on the results, we will continue to have students go to TA after ELO 1 on Tuesdays when there is an assembly.

Forms response chart. Question title: On ELO/Assembly days, we've currently been having students go to TA and hold for 15 minutes after ELO 1 but before the assembly starts. We've heard some feedback about this, so we're wondering which option below is most preferable?. Number of responses: 50 responses.

Jess will also continue to send reminder emails about ELO signups, as they received almost unanimous approval!

*ELO Highlight* I want to express gratitude for everyone who has stretched themselves and offered a bonus option during an ELO. There are so many awesome, engaging recurring and new options for students each week! It’s great to see students engaged in support and extension in their courses (our first ELO priority), and also fun to see the other opportunities that have popped up when students have an open block. Get inspired by the examples below!

To support facilities in cleaning the floors in your classroom, please have students put their chairs on the desk before departing.

The winter weather has arrived.  In preparation please find our Delay schedule.  We recognize that there are aspects of it that aren’t ideal so thank you for your patience and understanding.

And shout out to Jess for her work to proactively create the schedule.

1) EVERYONE please take the 10-min PATH Forward Survey on social climate. This is a survey from a collaborative effort between the AOE and PATH.  From PATH: “Holy cow! We're already learning a ton about your people and what's going on. The AOE NEEDS to see these results. Your people's VOICE MATTERS! You can send this to all employees (regardless of PATH) all voices matter.”  The results of this survey will be looked at by district and building and will be shared with HUUSD to help us make steps in the right direction regarding staff wellbeing.                     The deadline is December 2nd - Here's the link: https://novisurvey.net/ns/n/Climate.aspx

2) Register for the PATH Adventure: Out Of This World! from their dashboard - it's going to be great fun and there is FREE STUFF!! (hurry, socks are running low!)

HOW TO REGISTER:

  • Go to www.tomypath.com

  • Log in with your Username and Password. Can't remember your username and/or password? Contact PATH for help using the "Contact Support" button on the Login box or use the "Forgot Your Username" or "Forgot Your Password" options in the Login box.

3) Hug each other and tell each other "you are not alone, you are kind, and you are important just as you are".
