Health Office Updates

A few reminders:

  • Rapid antigen test kits are available for those who want them. We also have LAMP tests for certain circumstances.

  • We are seeing students/staff infected with COVID for the second time, for some, they are just outside of 90 days from their initial infection.

  • If you are sick, please stay home. If you have a close household contact, consider wearing a mask.

Thank you for all that you do!

TA update

Spirit Week…need I say more???

Thank you to so many TA teachers who are stepping up to support students to participate in the events. This would never happen without wide community support.

Next week is all about having fun and building community…

Appreciation! To all of the TA teachers who took notes during the all school dialogue. This information is critical to learning what our community is thinking about where we are and where we want to go.

I also want to be sure we appreciate our youth facilitators and planners. They stepped up to make dialogues a reality!!!

End of the year prep

Contact Jess Deane with questions

As of today (Thursday May 19), there are 16 student days remaining: 4 flex block sessions,  7 gold days, 7 black days, 2 ELO Wednesdays, and 1 fabulous spirit week, in case anyone is keeping track. Here are a few things to keep in mind:

ELO Wednesday next week

Next Wednesday there is an awards assembly ELO A (students receiving awards are pre-booked, other students can opt in or attend other ELOs) and spirit week Highlander Games ELO G (all other ELO G options have been deleted in Adaptive Scheduler). If, between ELO A and ELO G you are losing all of your prep time, please reach out and I will help create a prep for you during a different block.

Final scoring

→ If you teach any seniors and are concerned about they are at risk of not passing your course, make sure you contact their school counselor

→ For seniors, all final scores need to be entered in JumpRope by the end of the day Thursday 6/9

→ For all other students, all final scores need to be entered in JumpRope, and verification delivered to the school counseling office, by Tuesday 6/14 at noon

JumpRope

With 16 days to go, keeping JumpRope as up-to-date as possible can be helpful for everyone in supporting students who could “make it or break it” in these last few weeks. To see students’ overall course scores, use the “Class Grades” tab. For students who are close to the cusp (1.8 for 9th graders, 2.6 for 10-12th), consider emailing the student and family, and definitely book them to ELO next week and 6/8!
