HUMS staff blog update, August 25, 2019

Does this look familiar?  

Hello Middle School Team,

Tomorrow our HUMS air flight 201920 takes off for a variety of amazing destinations.  Throughout our journey we will experience the most amazing moments and at times feel the stress of severe turbulence.  No matter what - we will stick together and work everything out.  We have worked hard to make this year the best that we can and it will pay off.  Tomorrow we meet our returning and new passengers for the first time this school year.  Let meet and greet our kids in the hallway next to the commons as they enter to give them a high-five or fist bump. 

This blog will be very light as we all have work to do to be prepared for tomorrow.  If you need anything contact the flight deck as we will help.  I feel very lucky to be a part of such a great group of professionals..


Aug/Sept Meetings

August

August 27 - Full Faculty - Dept Mtngs (please go to your dept meetings for this time - there will be no HUMS meeting on Tuesday. If there is a need we will make time to meet half way through your dept meetings.

September

September 3 - TA Meetings (HUMS meeting)

September 10 - Shared Staff

September 12 - Open House - HS and MS

September 17 - Dept Meeting (HUMS meeting)

September 19 - LT/DH Meeting (Thurs)

September 24 - Faculty/LC (Start as a whole staff - then we will meet as a HUMS staff)

ITEMS

1.  Interested in being the HUMS representative for our internal field review (AOE style) this year.  The time commitment is two days (one for training one for visiting another school somewhere in central Vermont.  A couple of you have already stated your interest.  We may need to play rock scissor paper.. of perhaps a random select by the captain.  Please let me know your interest soon.

2.  If you have not emailed me your interest in a committee please do so by Wednesday.  I will create committees soon by the end of the week.

3.  Remember space expectations are due next Wednesday with our Assembly to be held on Friday, September 6 - time TBD.

4.  I did not confirm our DJ for tomorrow at the end of the day.  We have been playing a serious game of phone take I hope to connect with him soon to schedule another time soon.
